Last year became a real challenge for the Ukrainian oil and gas industry. At once several significant events happened which changed radically the market, primarily, gas industry. After the occupation of Crimea Ukraine lost control over the public company Chernomorneftegaz and the Black Sea shelf, where two new jack-up rigs operated. In fact, Ukraine lost nearly 2 BCM or 10% of annual gas production. Another part of production facilities is located on the occupied territory of Donbass, here losses were insignificant - 50 MMCM. In general, production in 2014 amounted to 19.8 BCM, which is by 460 MMCM or 2.4% more than in 2013 (without considering Chernomorneftegaz).
